Now as an active duty Marine I was ready to deploy and did deploy because that's what we do. I did not like being deployed but I guess it was because I got my paycheck from Uncle Sam regardless if I was here or overseas. These guys and ladies are in the National Guard. Part-timers, if you will and according to this story are happy to have jobs for the next year deployed in Iraq.

How sad is the state of the economy to be happy for deployment to a war zone because you have a job for the next year.
